What High Cortisol Level does to People

The automatic and autonomic reactions to the fear of Dementia are that the Cortisol Level goes way up. (see Part 2 Fear of Dementia below)

    6.    Emotional Stress Level

·       Everywhere

·       Up and down

With Dementia

There are two or more of us ALL experiencing some level of STRESS and DISTRESS.

We are trying to help but we are not seeing the other person’s point of view.

Deep Cleansing Breathe helps us to go from Autonomic reactions to Executive Function

How can we go from autonomic reactions to executive function?

How can we manage the stress?

Research has shown that by breathing deeply, we can bring down the Cortisol Level. This brings oxygen to the frontal lope and helps to clean the air for executive function.

Recognize:

How you feel is REAL and Important!

And

How the other person feels is REAL and Important too!

As we age

Dementia is brain failure, like heart failure.
