My Type 2 Diabetes in Remission

My Type 2 Diabetes in Remission

On 14/1/2020 I saw the diabetic doctor. He told me that the blood test results showed that my Type 2 Diabetes is in remission. My HbA1c is 4.9% or 30 mmol/mol. The target range is <7.0% or <53 mmol/mol. Hurray!!! Thank God.

It was with great trepidation that I went against the Singapore pyramid food guidelines and food plate, which is a HCLF diet. This is contrary to what the modern science based doctors that I listened to in my Type 2 Diabetes articles below recommended, which is a LCHF diet!!!

How dare I go against the conventional food guidelines? Where do I get the courage to do so? I have no choice. I do not want to take medicine, if I can help it. I prayed and was directed to see what is currently available in the Internet. I spent some 600 hours listening to the videos listed in my articles below. Most of the time, I do not understand the technical jargon but I persisted just to find the gems or gold nuggets of their medical research which forms the basis of my own experiment, which is summarized below:

My Type 2 Diabetes

My 80/20 Eating Rule

My Common-sense Health Tips

Type 2 Diabetes does not have to be a chronic and a life long disease. In 3 months I have proven conclusively to myself that type 2 Diabetes can be reversed with intermittent fasting and LCHF diet.

Anyone wanting to try to reverse his/her Type 2 Diabetes need only take 15 minutes to read through the above 3 articles. He has to be convinced that many of his health issues are due to his lifestyle and diet and these are totally within his control. He has the choice to look after his own health. The real problem is that he does not have the relevant knowledge that is explained simply so he can understand.

Dr David Unwin (Dr David Unwin on tablespoons of Sugar in foodhas made it very easy for us to understand about diet by converting what we eat into equivalent teaspoonfuls of sugar. We then have the option to eat that particular food or not. Thus, we have control over what we eat and help ourselves in the healing process.

With my 80/20 Eating Rule and intermittent fasting I am able to reduce my fat in my belly, obesity, overweight and die-hard attitude (FOOD) by 15.5 kg in just over 3 months. My BMI is now 21.0 kg/m2 which is within the WHO Asian-Pacific normal range of 18.5–22.9 kg/m2.. On top of that the doctor confirmed that my blood tests showed that I do not have fatty liver now and my hypothyroid medication can be reduced.

For the last 2 years, from 25/5/17 to 22/4/19, I had 7 liver cancer recurrences in 11 locations. Many procedures were done and every time new liver cancer occurred

On 22/4/19 my primary doctor suggested that the small growth could just be the liver rejuvenating itself and to wait for 3 months to do the MRI. I did my 10th MRI on 19/11/19 and the doctor mentioned that one tumor remained the same at 3.5 x 2 cm and another has increased slightly in size from 1.5 x 1 cm to 2 x 1.7 cm. There are also multiples minor tumors. But No new tumor was observed. He decided to monitor the situation and proposed to do MRI in 6 months’ time on 29/5/2020.

One month before the above MRI of 19/11/19, on 17/10/19 I started to do intermittent fasting by not taking breakfast and also followed my 80/20 Eating Rule by not taking SUGAR in any form.

Could my NOT eating sugar have anything to do with my NOT having any new tumor? Since cancer thrives on and loves sugar (see Cancer and Diet from YouTube).

I am not going to take sugar from now onward. It will be interesting to observe the possible outcome of the liver cancer on 29/5/2020. It will be some 7 months without much SUGAR in my diet and hopefully the liver cancer will be deprived of sugar. I pray that no new tumor will occur!!!
